See how easily you can maintain Natural Backlinks to your website

Organic, inorganic, quality and quantity are few terms which are frequently used when we talk about SEO. These words have become more important after the Goggles Penguin update. It can become very confusing for SEO professionals to decide which strategies and methodologies they should follow. The decision between organic back links or inorganic, whether to concentrate on quality or quantity or simply “what does Google want?” is the constant struggle we see amongst SEO professionals. Our opinion here at WebitMD is that all the above should be considered in your SEO strategy expect for creating inorganic back links.

Do you pass the RAID test? If not, check your work!

  • Relevance: you should consider if the link is coming from a reliable source
  • Authority and Influence: is the source of the link written by a professional or not
  • Diversity: is the backlink creating a diversified footprint for my online presence.

The inorganic back link will not pass this test and will be a waste of efforts, thus should be avoided. Inorganic backlinks will create unnecessary expectations with your clients as the count of links will grow, but seldom will affect the organic search results.

You see if you think that creating a lot of back links can rank you higher, it is true to some extent, but if you add some quality back links then I say that you will reap exponentially more benefits. Creating organic links are essential, but you should also emphasis on buying high quality links from renowned websites.

The links should be relevant and most of all should direct the user to the relevant pages of your website. Other things to boost your ranking are

·When creating new content for creating links, mention the names of the industry leaders, well known personality etc.

·Write on blogs, forums and post them in at least 2 to 5 websites to create links

·It is always good to say good things about a software that you recently used and found it every useful. This can help you get hooked to their site and create a good link back to your website

·Activate your Twitter account and create a page on Facebook to create relations with your clients and fans on your twitter page. This may not help you with direct conversion but this will help you analyze what can be done to enhance your online presence

What to look for when choosing the right Link Building Company

Link building in any SEO campaign, though very tedious and time consuming, is absolutely necessary to increase your ranks in search engines. Building both quality inbound and outbound links not only makes your site more visible in the world of the Internet, it also shows Google and other search engines that your site’s content is relevant enough to be shared.

Many companies do not have the time required to consistently develop these inbound and outbound links to their website, so they look to an effective but risky alternative: Hiring a link building company or SEO specialist to do it for them.

Hiring an outside Link-Building or SEO company can be risky in many ways…
Here are some things you should be aware of before you choose the right company:

Look out for International Agencies: Many companies that advertise their services in the U.S. may come from international agencies headquartered in India or China. Some companies will even tell you that they are headquartered in the U.S. but sub-contract off the work they say they are providing for you to international agencies. These international agencies do not know the U.S. market, or your industry specifics, as well as a company actually located in the U.S. so pick someone that can be readily available to you.

Avoid Cheap Backlink services at all costs! When companies say that they can give you say, 1000 links for only five hundred dollars, they are most likely using a link auto-submission service of some sort. These auto-submission services “auto-post” your website URL to thousands of irrelevant search engines, spam-like classified ad websites and absolute useless internet directories that allow this automatic submission.

These cheap backlinks are a waste of money and time in the following ways:
1. Google controls around 60% of search engine users’ attention already, so you need to pay attention to what Google considers high quality. Rather than having a 1000 links from another junk search engine, getting links from the top ten sites ranking for similar keywords on Google, Google will find these links in higher quality.

2. You should be aiming to receive links from sites that are relevant in the field you are trying to market. Gaining links from random internet directories about Healthcare will not help a company trying to rank for keywords like Motocross Racing.

3. You have no idea where these auto-submission services are sending your website’s URL. For all you know, the latest pornography sites could now be sporting the link to your website! Now that is an affiliation you want to avoid in a professional setting.

Your quality links should be coming from websites that are in the same industry as you. When interviewing possible link building prospects, ask them the types of links they would pursue in their strategy. Any experienced link builder would target sites with high pagerank, sites that are related to your industry (themed blogs, fan sites, industry professionals, industry associations, etc.), and other websites that make sense for your industry and keywords you are aiming for!

These observations should be made and researched before you write that paycheck to an outside link building firm. You should target companies that can keep you involved and educated in all steps of a link building campaign, with regular communication, that knows what they are talking about. Don’t get caught up in a scam or hire an SEO specialist who thinks they are an expert when they are clearly an amateur. Hire a firm with clear case studies, relevant knowledge about the internet and your industry, and one that you can afford. Check out WebitMD!

What is PageRank?

Curiosity about getting your page to the top of the Google search is not rocket science; in fact, Google even offers a PageRank tool that can be downloaded for free. If you are running a website or Internet business then PageRank is a vital tool to measure how much traffic you are really getting.

Google is known for providing the best results on internet searches. This is because of PageRank’s ability to determine the value of a website for any given search term or keyword phrase. “This value is determined by how websites link together with the more popular (and theoretically better) sites receiving more links. It’s these incoming links that help the site have a high PageRank value and thus display higher up in search results.”

Here is a brief description of PageRank, written by the Google team:

“PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.”

Important, high-quality sites receive a higher PageRank, which Google remembers each time it conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don’t match your query. So, Google combines PageRank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page’s content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it’s a good match for your query.”

An important key note to understand is that it is a combination of variables that determine how well your site performs on Google. These are the most important variables to worry about:

  • Incoming links to your site.
  • The relevancy (to your site’s theme) of the pages linking to your site and the PageRank of these pages.
  • The keywords that other sites use to link to your site.
  • The keywords on your website in particular in places like page titles and headlines.

Not all of the above points are controllable, but some are, like keywords in headlines. The bottom line to PageRank is that all these variables listed determine how high your site shows up in the search engine results. Therefore it is important to utilize this information for your competitive advantage- no matter how tech-savvy you are.

Don’t pay for cheap Backlinks!! They will only hurt you

A great way to improve your search engine optimization with Google and other major search engines is to build quality back links to your site. One strategy in obtaining more back links is to submit press releases to the World Wide Web through online PR distribution companies like PRWeb.

Companies like PRWeb, submit your press releases to industry leading editors, journalists, bloggers, and web publishers for syndication. If any of these writers repost your information they can end up being fed into some of today’s most popular social media networking sites that contain many members of your target audience. So, using timely press releases is an important aspect in your online marketing campaigns which can lead traffic to your site as well as creating those back links to your site that you need.

However, you can’t bribe or pay PRWeb to give you quality links to your site because that would not only diminish their reputation with many of its loyal readers but will also have many stiff penalties in the Google index. PRWeb offers these tips when submitting your press releases in order for you to gain quality back links with out having to pay for them.

Tips for Successful Press Releases:

1. Pay attention to the Details. Today’s great press releases are a synthesis between content, multimedia, and search engine optimized text. Make your press releases informative, interactive, and aesthetically pleasing to the readers eye.

2. Write for people, not for Search Engines. The most important thing about your press release is the person who is reading it. If you do not have a compelling headline, people won’t click through to read it. If your content is using words that people don’t understand they will stop reading it.

3. Don’t just write, Create! Add features to your press release that take advantage of what the internet can offer you. Add in text that blends with imagery, add audio fi appropriate, or even add a video to make things more interesting.

4. Optimize your release for the Web. Keep your press releases up to standard for SEO. Utilize text links, alt tags, title tags, and everything else search engines can read to help people find your content.

So when it comes down to it, don’t rely on paying for back links for your site because chances are you won’t find links for sale. You need to rely on quality links that come to your site through your content!
